Google Android Parkometer Application
We have developed a simple application for the Android mobile OS. This application (which is just a proof of concept, but can be really usefull) reminds you in time when you need to update your car's parking time before you get a parking fine!
With just 2 click it is possible to set your park alarm. When the time is elapsed, you get notified by both the notification message, both the notification sound (and your mobile get light up to notify you better!).
The application gives you 4 presets: 1 hour and a half, 2 hours, 3 hours or 4 hours. When you start it, you must only click one of this 4 presets and you will be notified ten minutes before the time expires (time starts since you click the preset button).
You may think that it is just a simple alarm, but if you want to use the system alarm you have to start the alarm application (1), then select a predefined alarm (2) then you have to select the time field (3) then you have to set the hour (4 and more) and then the minutes (5 and more), making the correct time calculation, then you have to click the set button (6).
6 click, time calculation and setting, any time you have to set the alarm, while with the parkometer application you have only to do 2 clicks! Beautiful!
From a personal experience, this application is very usefull and easy to be used and can help you save time (especially when you have to update frequently your parking time) and a lot of money!
It is possible to download the application from this link (courtesy of SmashingProject for the host) then uncompress the zip file, then you can copy the parkometer folder on your sd-card device and then install it usin AppsInstaller for example. If you need i can give you the source code too. Currently the application is localized only for the italian language but if i will find also just on comment asking for it, i will localize it in english too! Applicazione Disco Orario per Google Android
Abbiamo realizzato una smeplice, ma efficace applicazione per il sistema mobile GoogleAndroid. Questa applicazione (attualmente un esperimento che però risulta molto utile) vi ricorda che dovete aggiornare il disco orario prima della scadenza, così da evitarvi costose multe!
Con soli due click è possibile impostare una notifica di avviso per il disco orario. Quando il tempo scade, riceverete un messaggio di notifica nella status bar, una segnalazione audio con il suono di notifica e il cellulare si illuminerà per meglio avvisarvi!
L'applicazione fornisce 4 impostazioni possibili: un'ora e mezza, due, tre o quattro ore. Quando avviate l'applicazione. dovete semplicemente cliccare uno di questi 4 presets e verrete notificati 10 minuti prima della scadenza dell'intervallo selezionato (il tempo incomincia a trascorrere dal momento in cui cliccate il bottone di preset).
Potreste pensare che si tratti di una semplicissima e inutile applicazione, ma se voleste usare la sveglia per lo stesso scopo, dovreste avviare l'applicazione sveglia (1) quindi selezionare una sveglia già creata (2) quindi selezionare il campo orario (3) da qui dovete impostare l'ora (4 e più) poi i minuti (5 e più) curandovi di fare i conti corretti per l'orario della sveglia ed infine dovete clicare il bottone imposta (6).
6 click, calcoli di orario e impostazioni, ogni volta che dovete impostare l'allarme, mentre con l'applicazione disco orario dovete fare solo 2 click! Meraviglioso!
Dalla mia esperienza personale, questa applicazione è molto comoda e utile e semplice da usare e può aiutare molto a risparmiare tempo (soprattutto se dovete aggiornare frequentemente il vostro disco orario) e molti soldi!
E' possibile scaricare l'applicazione da questo link (si ringrazia SmashingProject per l'hosting) quindi decomprimete il file zip e allora potete copiare la directory parkometer sulla vostra sd-card ed in seguito installarla con un applicazione quale AppsInstaller per esempio. Su richiesta posso fornire anche il codice sorgente. Attualmente l'applicazione è localizzata solo nella lingua italiana, ma se riceverò anche una sola richiesta, provvederò a localizzarla anche in inglese! Sono interessato allo sviluppo di applicazioni per la piattaforma Android, così se volete promuovere lo sviluppo o suggerire un applicazione da realizzare, non esitate a contattarmi (lasciate commenti in fondo a questo post).
Se interessati a a promuovere questa applicazione (che può essere venduta o personalizzata come gadget per clienti ad esempio), questi sono i prossimi passi che voglio realizzare:
- localizzazione in inglese
- migliori dimensioni per i bottoni di presets
- possibilità di impostare i presets
- memorizzare a livello di promemoria testuale l'ultimo orario impostato
